I was a graduate student in the School of the Arts at Columbia University when I petitioned the J-school to take writing classes. My petition was granted and I immediately turned what I had learned into work. 1998 the New York Post’s then travel editor, Pucci Meyer, gave me my first professional writing assignment - I wrote about Norwalk, CT for the travel pages. An assignment with Good Housekeeping and Bridal Guide magazine, and the work continued to snow-ball. Within two years, I was covering beauty for the New York Post as a regular contributor to weekend features. I was also published in the New York Times style section and began writing about travel for the New York Daily News, Robb Report and The Boston Herald. In 2000 I began working as a reporter for In Style on their annual Best Beauty Buys issue and continued as a reporter and writer for In Style until this year when my first book, The Beauty Buyble: The Best Beauty Products – 2007 was published by Harper Collins. In 2003 I was hired as the travel editor for the national women’s magazine Looking Good Now!, a Weider publication and sister pub to SHAPE magazine, and have continued to hold this position since the magazine’s inception.

Below are some of my articles:

The Robb Report Travel - Petit Pleasures
The New York Times - March 9, 2003, PULSE: Parting is Sweet
